    2020-21 Start Smart Course Registration

A new permit must be purchased each school year in order to park in any of the school’s parking lots.  Purchasing the permit requires 3 steps:

    1.  Completion of the free one-hour California Highway Patrol online Start Smart traffic safety class by student and their parent/guardian.  See more details below regarding this requirement.

The Start Smart Program has been redesigned for the 2020-21 school year due to COVID-19 restrictions.  The online course with a live CHP presenter will be one hour in length.

Currently, students in Grades 10, 11 and 12 can participate in these online courses.

Students who have not previously attended a Start Smart course must attend one of the three sessions to be eligible to purchase a parking pass at their high school.

One parent or guardian must attend the class with the student.  For additional information, please refer to the Start Smart webpage: The student must complete this form using their SRVUSD email.

There will be three sessions held via Google Meet:

    - Tuesday, May 25 from 7:00-8:00pm

    - Thursday, June 17th from 7:00-8:00pm

    - Monday, August 9th from 3:30-4:30pm

    2. Complete and submit the Parking Permit Form
