Honorary Service awards 2021:  Nominations now open to April 27.

California High PTSA is looking for nominees for Honorary Service Awards. The Honorary Service Award (HSA) program encourages PTA units to honor individuals or organizations through donations to the HSA program fund of the California State PTA (a scholarship and grant program).

The goals of the HSA program are as follows:

To recognize deserving PTA, school and community volunteers for outstanding service to children and youth.

To provide funds for the scholarship and grant program.

The applicants being considered should be recognized for outstanding service to children and youth, not for routine assigned responsibilities or for retirement. Those who work behind the scenes, quietly and efficiently, should also be considered.

Honorary Service Award (HSA): May be given to an individual or organization in the PTA, school or community in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.

Continuing Service Award (CSA): May be given to an individual or organization in the PTA, school or  community for recognition of outstanding service to children and youth. This award may be given to a person whose contributions have been significant over a continuing period of time. The award may be given regardless of whether a recipient has previously received the California State PTA’s Honorary Service Award.

Golden Oak Service Award: May be given to an individual who or organization that has made a significant contribution to the welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school, or community. This award should be given to recognize exceptional service to children and youth; it is the California State PTA’s most prestigious award.

Very Special Person (VSP): May be given to an individual or PTA constituent organization to recognize an individual.

Outstanding Teacher Award

The Outstanding Teacher Award may be given to a teacher in special recognition for outstanding service in welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school, or community.

Outstanding Administrator Award

The Outstanding Administrator Award may be given to an administrator in special recognition for outstanding service in welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school, or community.

Click on Nomination Form to nominate someone.  Nominations are due by April 27, 2021. For more information, or to nominate an individual, contact Abby  Bronzini at

Thank you Deana Leibowitz, Hospitality Chair for providing the Halloween staff luncheon.  Sometimes we forget that our staff feels the stress and disappointment of not being able to teach in-person.  The lunch helped show that we appreciate them!
