Free Tutoring Services at Cal High

Math Club:

Our fantastic Math Club offers free tutoring for all students in all math levels. Please obtain a pass from your math teacher to attend tutorial in room 211 (Mrs. Saiki's class).


National Honor Society students volunteer their time to tutor students who need extra support in any subject area. Come to room 211 every day during lunch OR after school on Wednesdays and Thursdays!

Welcome to Cal High's Counseling Department! We strive to produce high achieving learners who graduate college and career ready, well prepared to meet the challenges and high expectations of a diverse and changing world.

The Counseling Program at CHS seeks to positively impact the lives of all our students by partnering with staff, parents and community. All students participate in quality opportunities for self-directed personal growth through our Naviance program.

Our program offers comprehensive planning and guidance services addressing student academic, diverse career and college goals, as well as personal and social development.

Remediation Summer School 

Remediation Summer School is for students who have failed a course. Students who receive D's will be admitted only if space is available as first priority is given to students who have failed.

Registration for Remediation Summer School is handled through your student's counselor and not via the Learning Stream application that is used for Advancement.  Students should direct questions to their Counselor. 

Applications have been handed out, if your student has not received an application and would like to remeemdiate a class this summer, he or she should see his or her counselor. 

Completed applications are due to counseling by May 3rd.

Student Appointments with Counselor:                                              Students may request an appointment with their counselor by signing up in the counseling office. Student drop in times are available during brunch, lunch, and/or after school.  


Parent Contact with Counselor:  
In order to be available for students, counselors cannot accommodate drop in appointments with parents. Please see the Counseling Directory to obtain contact information for your student's school counselor.
